TMD's Kick Butts Day

The Archery team finished Saturday on the podium - continuing a streak of 1st,2nd or 3rd place finishes @ State. NASP Nationals are on 5/14.

Awaiting Results

The team won't know their fate until after the Noon Flight. Jacob led our boys with 279. Nichole led our girls with a 263. I saw several over 250. We will find out how we did this afternoon.
Side Note: Boys baseball defeated New Berlin 3-2.

Archery Champion and his true supporters!

After advancing to the finals, I gave the students a chance to switch their allegiances to those in the finals. Many many joined my section. After two arrows that were 8-9 and Mrs. Emery's 10-10, 50+ bailed on yours truly and went to Emery's side. These few stuck with me and were rewarded with a 44-43 victory and a staff championship!!!

State Finals

Sitting @ the IHSA State Finals for 2A watching Pittsfield. PHS is where I started my teaching career. I student-taught, subbed, volunteer coached football and basketball @ Pittsfield in 1993. In fact, I coached PHS' head basketball coach when he was a senior. He was our QB on Curt Simonson's playoff FB team and a major factor on John Schultz's Regional Championship Baseball Team. Brad was a great athlete and kid. His boys hit a big 3 @ the buzzer to the end the half. Let's hope they keep the MOMENTUM going their way!!!

Unfortunately, Brad's run in the 3pt contest ended tonight in the Sectionals. Congrats to Brad for representing AHS and moving through Regionals. It has been a fun 4 years watching Brad play for AHS - and we got a few extra nights as he competed in the 3pt contest.
