Sports Boosters Concern

Athens Sports Boosters in Jeopardy of Shutting Down!

After four years of service every Athens Sports Booster board member will be retiring this year.  Athens Sports Boosters will no longer exist if more community members do not volunteer to serve on the board or become a committee chairperson for a particular sport.  Positions available are as follows:  President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.  Committee members are also needed.  Every year the sports boosters purchase numerous items for our sports teams so that they may continue to have quality programs.  Sports boosters also support our athletic teams by providing concessions throughout the year.  If the sports boosters close their doors these services will no longer be available.  There will be a special informational meeting on Wednesday, May 23 at 6:00 PM in the high school board room for anyone who is interested in becoming a sports booster board member or committee member.
